Job summary

AmeriStaff Employment & Staffing Solutions is seeking a Process Technician for a direct hire with a manufacturing client in Danville, VA. The candidate should have strong experience in industrial production, machine troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and process improvement, while upholding high quality standards.

Pay ranges from $18/hr to $19.95/hr depending on experience and shift. Day shift runs 7AM–7PM, night shift 7PM–7AM on a 2/2/3 schedule.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Electronics, Industrial Maintenance, or related field preferred.
Minimum five years in industrial production and maintenance environments.
Experience with electromechanical controls preferred.
Experience with servo motors, linear motors, PLC systems, troubleshooting preferred.
Strong reading of electrical schematics and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

Set up machinery according to production plans and job specifications.
Perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance.
Operate equipment within established design conditions and process parameters.
Monitor system compliance and maintain production standards on shifts.
Coordinate material requirements with production leadership.
Maintain production and quality documentation, including SAP records.
Implement continuous improvement to improve machine efficiency and reduce waste.
Support quality improvement to meet customer expectations.
Promote safe work practices and maintain organized area.
