Job summary

ASR Group is seeking a Filter/Press Floor Operator for our Louisiana facility. The role involves starting and stopping equipment, adjusting valves and presses, and monitoring temperature, flow and density to direct process material to the correct tanks.

You will take samples for the laboratory, record process data, and report deviations to the Foreman. The position requires working in a hot, humid environment with rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Effective communication with others is required.
• Completion of Process Technician (PTECH) program/degree is strongly preferred.
• Must be able to take brix samples, reach instruments, turn valves, and adjust switches.
• Must be able to stand, bend, lift up to 50 lbs., and work in hot, humid environments.

Responsibilities

• Starts and stops equipment; opens, closes, or positions valves; operates presses and strainers as needed.
• Observes temperature, flow and density; directs process material to proper tanks.
• Adjusts equipment to maintain best operating conditions per Foreman.
• Takes samples and delivers to Laboratory; records process data and reports deviations.
