Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Process Operator Specialist for its Starbase, TX facility. The role focuses on owning equipment performance and reliability by monitoring processes and maintaining components while identifying instability early.

You will troubleshoot and calibrate equipment, work with engineers and technicians to implement designs, and develop standard operating procedures for field deployment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in mechanical or electrical engineering technology plus 2+ years automation experience.
• Or high school diploma with 4+ years in control room/plant operations, millwright support, or instrumentation/electrical operations.
• Knowledge of process parameters and engineering units for temperature, pressure, flow and power.

Responsibilities

• Identify equipment and process deviations and perform corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and calibrate process equipment including compressors, gas analyzers, control systems, and valves.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and fabricators to implement fluid and mechanical designs in the field.
• Create operating procedures with engineers and technicians.
• Coordinate across disciplines to ensure resources are available to complete builds.
• Maintain a mature hardware inventory system and procure critical spares.
• Learn and run standard operating procedures on the machinery.
