Job summary

Monroe Truck Equipment, an Aebi Schmidt brand in Joliet, IL, is seeking an Industrial Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes and layouts using Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.

The role involves time studies, standard work development, ERP data analysis, and leading cost-saving initiatives across product lines with cross-functional collaboration to drive operational excellence.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
5+ years of Industrial/Manufacturing/Process Engineering experience.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing and 5S.
Proficiency with ERP data analysis and Excel.
Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

Conduct time studies and labor analysis to establish standards.
Apply Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Theory of Constraints, RCA, and problem-solving methodologies.
Develop and maintain standard work instructions and process documentation.
Design and optimize manufacturing work cells and facility layouts.
Create and analyze current-state and future-state value stream maps.
Evaluate equipment, tooling, and production methods to improve performance.
Support cost analysis for existing products, new product introductions, and process changes.
Analyze manufacturing data and ERP system information to support decisions.
Utilize Six Sigma to identify process variation and implement improvements.
