Job summary

Kaiser Aluminum is seeking an Industrial Process Engineer to join the Bellwood Plant in Richmond, VA on site. You will analyze, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead kaizen events, and drive continuous improvement with data analytics, process control plans, and SOPs. This role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and environmental standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
2–5 years of manufacturing or process engineering experience.
Experience in aluminum extrusion and reduction drawing is a plus.
Proficiency in Lean, Six Sigma, and process improvement methodologies.
Proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ERP systems, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement in throughput, efficiency, and cost reduction.
Design, develop, and implement new or modified process flows, layouts, and equipment configurations.
Conduct time studies, root cause analysis, and process mapping to support capacity modelling and lean initiatives.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement process control plans and SOPs.
Leverage data to enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.
