Job summary

Clayco is seeking a motivated Process Designer I to support the delivery of industrial projects. You will assist in producing technical design documentation and drafting deliverables, focusing on Plant3D smart P&ID drafting and industrial process systems.

Ideal candidates bring a 0–3 year track record, familiarity with AutoCAD/Plant3D, and a collaborative mindset to work with engineering and construction teams.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Design Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred.
• 0–3 years of experience in process design, drafting, or related technical work.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Plant3D expected.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering industrial process design projects across multiple phases of execution.
• Support the preparation of multi-disciplined 2D drafting deliverables for industrial facilities and systems.
• Produce technical work products and drawings that align with client and project requirements.
• Develop and enhance Plant3D smart P&ID drafting capabilities to support project execution strategies.
• Coordinate with engineering, design, and construction teams to ensure accurate and timely deliverables.
• Assist with updating and maintaining process drawings, layouts, and documentation.
• Participate in design coordination meetings and project reviews.
• Support quality control efforts by reviewing drafting standards and project documentation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and evolving design workflows.
