Job summary

Veolia in North America is seeking an Industrial Pretreatment Program (IP) Coordinator to oversee laboratory analyses, regulatory compliance, and enforcement actions for industrial dischargers. You will prepare permits, manage inspections, and ensure data integrity while coordinating with city representatives and clients.

Candidates should hold a bachelor's in chemistry, biology, environmental science or related field, with laboratory and regulatory experience; strong writing and Excel skills

Qualifications

• Equivalent to completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry, biology, environmental science or closely related field.
• Preferred qualifying experience may include wastewater operator training/experience and/or laboratory training/experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment and instrumentation for tests following QA procedures.
• Manage Laboratory Quality Assurance Program and ensure consistent QC.
• Prepare wastewater samples and chain-of-custody documentation for contract lab testing.
• Measure and verify laboratory performance and data integrity.
• Calibrate instrumentation and maintain sampling apparatus.
• Coordinate industrial water discharge permit preparation and enforcement actions.
• Review local, state and federal regulations applicable to pretreatment programs.
• Prepare regulatory and client reports, including annual status reports.
