Job summary
ISC Constructors, L.L.C. is seeking an experienced Power Distribution Technician to support inspection, maintenance, testing, and operation of electrical power distribution systems from 480V to 35.5kV.
The role involves working around energized equipment with a strong emphasis on safety and adherence to procedures. You will perform switching, preventive maintenance, testing, and installation activities on a range of equipment including switchgear, MCCs, transformers, UPS systems, and batteries,
Qualifications
- Four+ years of craft electrical experience.
- Formal electrical or instrumentation/electrical technician training.
- Experience with industrial power distribution.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and NEC requirements.
- Strong safety practices including arc-flash awareness.
Responsibilities
- Take switching orders on 480V–35.5kV equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance on feeders, switchgear, MCCs, transformers, batteries, UPS.
- Conduct motor testing and insulation testing.
- Pull and test transformer oil samples as required.
- Inspect grounding systems and conductors; install protective grounds.
- Install and terminate electrical equipment and conduit systems.
- Assist with testing, inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Troubleshoot energized motor-control systems when authorized.
