Job summary

Smeal Apparatus, a REV Group brand, seeks an experienced plumber to perform construction and installation of pipe systems for fire apparatus. This role requires reading blueprints, measuring precisely, and using hand and power tools. You will assemble fittings, valves, and pipe segments, and verify integrity by pressure testing.

Candidates should have basic education and be able to work in a team. Medical, dental and vision benefits start day one; education reimbursement and relocation

Qualifications

• Preferred 1–2 years of plumbing experience.
• Preferred high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and understand plumbing drawings within 90 days.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure for precise measurements.
• Ability to use common hand tools and power tools (drills, screw guns).
• Ability to communicate professionally and follow directions; work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Cutting and threading pipes with pipe cutters and threading equipment.
• Bend pipes to required angles using bending tools or by hand.
• Join pipes with fittings, solder, and caulk; install valves.
• Fill pipe systems with water/air and check for leaks with gauges.
• Read drawings and work safely in a team environment.
