Job summary

Air Liquide Large Industries in Plaquemine, LA is seeking a Production Technician to support safe, reliable operations at our gas production facility. You will monitor equipment, perform rounds, and assist with maintenance tasks while following strict safety and regulatory requirements.

The role requires 2+ years of technical training or operations experience, knowledge of instrumentation and piping, and the ability to work nights, weekends, or holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of technical training or operations experience.
• Ability to work extended hours/shift work as needed.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Knowledge of instrumentation, rotating equipment and piping systems.
• Familiarity with Process Safety Management and regulatory requirements.
• Lockout/Tagout understanding and practice.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Team-oriented with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding of plant safety rules and procedures.
• Performs work per SOPs and safety requirements; uses energy control procedures.
• Maintains records and uses CMMS systems for maintenance work (Maximo).
• Reads blueprints, P&IDs, and process flow diagrams; performs basic math operations.
• Operates rounds, water sampling, truck loading, and PMs.
• Ensures safety compliance of contractors, visitors and staff.
