Job summary

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering is required.
• Mechatronics would be a big plus.
• A background of experience or education supporting Wood Science is greatly preferred.
• Excellent communications skills, verbal and written, with ability to lead and associate with production staff.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, maintain and set work instructions, work standards and piece work rates
• Assist production staff with understanding and establishment of baseline performance and work standards
• Identify, evaluate and recommend changes or improvements in processes, procedures and equipment with supporting analysis
• Review product cost, evaluate and make recommendations
• Perform cost studies and economic comparisons of operations
• Reduce the cost of production by elimination of waste in materials and labor
• Perform plant layout evaluation and layout improvement options
• Exhibit excellent computer skills in CAD, Word and Excel Software

Ourteam at The Recruiting Pros is proudto be searching for a n Industrial / Plant Engineer on behalfof an acknowledged and recognized furniture manufacturer in Hickory, NorthCarolina with distribution partners throughout the U.S. In this position you will be applyingengineering theory and principles to improve furniture manufacturingprocesses, establishing and monitoring work standards and piece work laborrates and analyzing operational costs, economical process flows and managementfunctions. Thisis a full-time permanent position. A Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering is required.
