Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Plant Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in a coal preparation plant. You will support safe, continuous operations under MSHA, OSHA, NEC, and company standards.

The role requires 3–5 years of industrial electrical experience, knowledge of 480V and medium-voltage systems, PLC troubleshooting, and the ability to read schematics. On-site work in Kentucky with strong safety accountability.

Qualifications

Minimum 3–5 years of industrial electrical experience in mining or heavy industry.
Experience with 480V and medium-voltage power distribution.
Ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics.
Pass MSHA training and physical exams.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including motors, MCCs, PLCs, VFDs, lighting.
Troubleshoot electrical issues in conveyors, crushers, screens, pumps, and drives.
Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
Read schematics, one-line diagrams, and technical manuals.
Work with operations and maintenance teams to meet production goals.
Ensure compliance with MSHA, OSHA, NEC and safety standards.
Inspect equipment for hazards, defects, or code violations.
Participate in safety meetings, audits, and training.
Maintain records of maintenance and repair activities.
Respond to emergency breakdowns and outages.
