Qualifikationen

• Journeyman level skills and knowledge required for this position
• Willingness to obtain COR Certification and act as COR for trade related contractual services
• Experience with installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of piping systems and related equipment

Aufgaben

• Install, modify and repair medium to high pressure piping systems and equipment such as steam heating, steam generation, hydraulic systems, steam generators, condensate lines, vacuum and circulating pumps, and radiators
• Install equipment by routing, placement, level setting, joining, sealing and testing systems for proper pressure and leak-free joints
• Maintain and repair internal and external water lines, soil pipes, external water mains and related devices
• Weld joints using MIG, TIG or electric arc welders
• Ensure operation, maintenance, and documentation of RO systems in the Medical Center
• Implement and update the Engineering Service Automated Engineering Management System/MERS in Plumbing Shop
• Install and maintain medical gas lines and the medical gas system; document related activities
• Demonstrate ability to modify and repair complex systems; attend training and certification as required (asbestos removal, backflow devices, welding, piping)
• Utilize hydraulic systems, pumps, radiators, steam heating equipment, steam generators, sterilizers, valves, and drain cleaning equipment
• Understand and service water, natural and propane gas systems, fire control sprinkler systems, and water closets
• Apply shop mathematics to determine material sizes and types
• Possess COR for contractual services and related duties
• Adhere to 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday work schedule
• Work in environments including ladders, scaffolding, confined spaces, and extreme conditions
• Be prepared for physical risks including lifting up to 50 pounds and potential injuries
