Job summary

Dearing Compressor & Pump in Youngstown, OH, is seeking a skilled pipe fitter to lay out, assemble, and install threaded pipe systems on compressor packages. The role involves selecting pipe types, cutting, threading, and securing pipes with supports and brackets.

You will work with iron, steel, copper, and stainless steel, perform air tests for leaks, and cross-train in related assembly tasks while adhering to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• AA degree or equivalent, or 6 months to 1 year related experience.
• Ability to read specifications and plans.
• Proficient in cutting, threading pipes and assembling various metals.

Responsibilities

• Lays out, assembles, installs threaded pipe systems and supports on compressor packages.
• Selects type and size of pipe and related materials per specifications.
• Cuts and threads pipe; assembles and installs metal pipes, tubes and fittings.
