Job summary

Crowder is seeking an experienced pipe fitter for industrial construction projects in the Southeast. The role involves laying out, fabricating, assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems for steam, hot water, and processing facilities.

You will work with various pipe materials and perform tests for leaks on completion. Requirements include a minimum of 4 years of verifiable pipe fitter experience, ability to read blueprints, and willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 4 years of verifiable experience as a pipe fitter in industrial construction.
• Read blueprints and follow instructions with accuracy.
• Ability to work at heights and travel where the project requires.

Responsibilities

• Selects type and size of pipe and related materials according to job specifications.
• Inspect work sites to determine obstructions and ensure no structural weaknesses.
• Plan sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and conflicts with other workers.
• Cut pipe using saws, torches, and/or a pipe machine.
• Test piping systems for leaks by increasing pressure and observing gauges.
