Job summary

Preferred Utilities is seeking a skilled Industrial Pipe Fitter/Fabricator to join our Danbury, CT factory team on the 2nd shift (12pm–8pm). You will read blueprints, fabricate and assemble piping systems using carbon and stainless steel, and collaborate with trades to meet deadlines.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, with industrial pipe fitting experience and strong reading of drawings, safety discipline, and teamwork. Overtime may be required to support project needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in pipe fitting or fabrication is a plus.
• Proven experience as a pipe fitter or fabricator in an industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of piping systems, materials, and fabrication techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in industrial environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine piping layouts.
