Resist-A-Line Industries in Joliet, IL is hiring two Industrial Painters to join our coatings team. We train you on our specialized high-performance coating systems and offer competitive starting pay with guaranteed weekly overtime.

• 1–2+ years in painting or related hands-on trades.
• Basic understanding of paint mixing ratios and tool operation.

Responsibilities

• Apply high-performance industrial paints and linings to tanks, trailers, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Specialized Coating Application: Apply high-performance industrial paints, epoxies, and chemical-resistant linings to steel tanks, trailers, and heavy equipment using airless and conventional spray systems.

• Surface Preparation & Masking: Perform fine surface prep, grinding, cleaning, and precision masking/taping to ensure optimal coating adhesion.

• Quality Control (QC): Learn to use precision measuring tools to check ambient conditions, wet film thickness (WFT), and dry film thickness (DFT) according to job specs.

• Equipment Setup & Care: Set up, flush, clean, and maintain spray pumps, fluid lines, pressure pots, and spray guns.

• Material Handling: Safely operate forklifts and shop equipment to stage tanks, raw materials, and completed products.

• Teamwork: Work alongside a tight-knit crew to meet daily production schedules safely and efficiently.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 1 to 2+ years in painting or hands-on trades (Auto body painting/refinishing, commercial painting, manufacturing, or construction).

• Technical Aptitude: Basic understanding of paint mixing ratios, fluid pressures, air compressors, and hand tools (we teach you our specific lining systems).

• Physical Grit & Stamina: Ability to handle heavy spray hoses, operate power tools, stand for long periods, work in confined/restricted spaces, and lift up to 75 lbs.

• Safety Focus: 100% commitment to wearing proper PPE/respirators and adhering to strict shop safety standards.

• Commute: Ideally located within a 15-to-25-minute drive to Southeast Joliet.

• Basic Requirements: 18+ years old, authorized to work in the U.S., High School Diploma or GED, and able to pass a background check and drug screen.
