Johnson Controls, a global leader in thermal management and building systems, is seeking a manufacturing painter in the United States. The role involves painting parts and assemblies, surface preparation, decal application, and packaging for shipment within a safety-conscious production environment.

Responsibilities include inspecting finished work, maintaining records, operating hand and power tools, and participating in 5S and Kaizen activities while adhering to safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Paint parts or assemblies, including compressors and packages
• Wash, clean, and prep surfaces; prime and finish coats
• Inspect painted items and apply decals or tags; prep for transport
• Handle materials as needed for the job
• Maintain time, quality, quantity, and other records
• Use chisels, hammers, air grinders, wire brushes, and related tools
• Assemble caps, plugs, and valves for finished charge
• Detect unusual conditions or defective material and report
• Keep work area clean and safe per 5S standards
• Participate in Kaizen events and team projects
• Follow safety policies and JHRA procedures
