Job summary

Komatsu is seeking a paint technician in a manufacturing setting to prepare surfaces, apply paint as designed, and ensure high-quality finishes. You will work at various stations, handle equipment you are trained to use, and follow process design guidelines to meet schedules.

Responsibilities include masking, painting, inspecting work, and adhering to safety and environmental standards. Lifting up to 50 pounds and crane operation may be required; overtime may be necessary to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a painter is preferred. Minimum 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Must have worked in this job for at least 6 months.
• Must be able to use a variety of hand tools, power tools, etc.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work on various job assignments at different work stations.
• Work with equipment that you are trained to use.
• Clean, mask, mix paint, spray, and decal equipment or manufactured products from the Process Design Book within std. time.
• Inspects paint work and reports defects or discrepancies to supervision.
• All work must be done with safety and quality in mind, understanding environmental impacts of painting.
• Operates overhead cranes or jib cranes to move large parts safely.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
