The position focuses on preparing and finishing metal and plastic sign components, spraying paint, and operating the powder coating line to deliver consistent, high-quality finishes.

The ideal candidate will follow work orders and color specifications, keep work areas clean, perform touchups, and collaborate with colleagues to keep jobs moving in a busy sign shop.

Responsabilités

• Sand, clean, mask, and prepare materials for painting and finishing.
• Spray paint metal and plastic sign components.
• Mix and prepare paints and coatings as required.
• Operate and maintain powder coating equipment and line.
• Prepare parts for powder coating, including cleaning, masking, and hanging.
• Inspect finished parts for coverage, color consistency, surface defects, and quality.
• Perform touchups and rework when necessary.
• Follow work orders, drawings, color specifications, and production instructions.
• Keep paint areas, spray equipment, tools, and workspaces clean and organized.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance on paint and powder coating equipment.
• Communicate with production staff when materials, colors, or job details need clarification.
• Help keep jobs moving efficiently while maintaining quality standards.

B Sign Group is hiring a dependable Industrial Painter / Powder Coat Technician with strong attention to detail in New Albany, Indiana. Join the production team at our established, full service sign manufacturing company.

This position prepares and finishes a wide variety of metal and plastic sign components. The ideal candidate takes pride in producing a clean, consistent finish and is comfortable working in a busy manufacturing environment.

• Familiarity with primers, clear coats, specialty finishes, and color matching.
• Experience working in a sign shop or custom manufacturing environment.
