Job summary

Johnson Controls Navy Systems in York, PA seeks an Industrial Painter for the 2nd shift to spray and finish parts for Navy systems. You will read drawings, prepare surfaces, and ensure high-quality finishes in a regulated environment.

The role offers a union position with relocation assistance where available and benefits from day one. A 1–2 year painting background is preferred, with emphasis on safety and quality in challenging conditions.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of industrial or automotive painting experience.
• Ability to follow safety precautions.
• Ability to work in varying conditions with exposure to paint, fumes, dirt.
• Experience reading drawings and process sheets.

Responsibilities

• Paint in booth, on floor, or on product, indoors or outdoors.
• Prepare surfaces, mask, and clean parts as required.
• Mix paints to proper viscosity and adjust as needed.
• Erect shelters and spray primers/epoxies.
• Inspect finished work for runs and coverage and touch ups.
• Maintain spray equipment and tools.
