Job summary

Johnson Controls Navy Systems is seeking an Industrial Painter (2nd Shift) at our York, PA facility to spray and finish paint parts and complex units used on Navy vessels. You will work from drawings, orders, and process sheets in booths, on floors, or elevated positions, applying primers, enamels, epoxies, and protective coatings.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of industrial or automotive painting experience.
• Ability to lift and maneuver materials and operate spray equipment.
• Follow safety precautions to prevent injuries.
• Work in varying conditions with paint, thinner and fumes.
• Experience with cranes, ladders or elevated work areas.

Responsibilities

• Paint in booth, on floor, or product using spray and hand tools.
• Prepare surfaces from drawings, orders, and process sheets.
• Mix and apply primers, enamels, epoxies, and protective coatings.
• Inspect for coverage, runs, and thickness; touch up as needed.
• Maintain spray equipment and paint systems.
