Qualifications

• Experience painting surfaces using enamel, lacquer or epoxy
• Follow paint data sheets and instructions precisely
• Prepare surfaces and masks for accurate finishes
• Maintain and troubleshoot painting equipment

Responsibilities

• Requisition or order paints as required
• Select proper paints (enamel/lacquer/epoxy) and solvents
• Add thinner to achieve proper viscosity
• Fill and secure spray pots
• Check surfaces for dirt, moisture, rust, or scratches and repair imperfections
• Mask equipment to prevent overspray
• Operate spray gun to apply coatings with uniform finish
• Apply primer coatings when required
• Maintain painting equipment and replace parts as necessary
• Prepare QA inspection sheets
• Notify supervisor of equipment issues
• Record daily attendance and production data
• Follow safety rules and keep area clean
• Other duties as assigned
