Job summary

nVent in Millington, MD is seeking an Industrial Painter to prepare surfaces, apply industrial coatings, and ensure finish quality. This on-site, hourly position pays $19-$22 per hour, depending on experience, with overtime possible to meet production needs.

You will clean, sand, remove old coatings, apply coatings, monitor curing, and inspect finished products for quality. A high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of industrial painting experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of industrial painting experience required.
• HS diploma or GED required.
• Experience prepping/finishing surfaces and removing coatings.
• Experience applying paints and operating painting tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand long periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and removing coatings.
• Apply paint and coatings to products and components.
• Monitor curing and drying to meet specs.
• Inspect finished surfaces for coating quality.
• Maintain clean and safe work area; comply with PPE.
• Overtime work as needed.
