Job summary

Aerotek in Blaine, MN is seeking an experienced Industrial Painter for a permanent, onsite role. The position focuses on preparing, masking, and applying high-quality liquid coatings to precision parts within a clean, climate-controlled facility.

You will blend paints, operate spray equipment, read blueprints, and track job data while maintaining strict quality and safety standards. Cerakote experience is a plus and strong attention to detail is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial painting experience.
• Masking, surface preparation, paint mixing, and spray application.
• Knowledge of paint booths, blasting equipment, and finishing processes.
• Ability to measure and inspect coating thickness.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Cerakote experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare parts for painting by cleaning, masking, blasting, and racking components.
• Mix paints and coatings according to specifications.
• Apply liquid coatings using spray guns and paint booth equipment.
• Inspect finished parts and verify coating thickness meets quality requirements.
• Perform sandblasting and other surface preparation processes.
• Assist with powder coating and additional finishing operations as needed.
• Read work instructions, blueprints, and production documentation.
• Enter and update job information within the production tracking system.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area while following all PPE and ITAR requirements.
• Support other departments and production needs as workload demands.
