Job summary

Apache Workforce in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Industrial Painter / Blaster to join a manufacturing team. The role focuses on surface preparation, abrasive blasting, and applying protective coatings to above-ground piping and steel structures, with emphasis on safety and quality.

The ideal candidate has hands-on blasting and coating experience, including two-part coatings and epoxies. Proficiency in HVLP/airless spraying, correct material mixing, and inspection of finished surfaces

Qualifications

Experience with abrasive blasting and coating applications.
Ability to read coating specifications and data.
Strong safety awareness and adherence to procedures.
Experience with two-part coatings and epoxy/urethane systems.
Ability to operate and maintain blasting and spray equipment.
Ability to mix primers, paints, and coatings to required viscosity.

Responsibilities

Perform surface preparation and protective coating applications on piping and structures.
Operate and maintain blasting, spray-painting, and coating equipment.
Mix primers and coatings to required viscosity.
Ensure proper spray pressures, nozzles, and application settings.
Monitor cure times and environmental conditions for quality finishes.
Inspect finished surfaces for defects and perform touch-ups as needed.
