Job description

Key Responsibilities
Surface Preparation & Blast Work

Sandblast and clean crane components, structural steel, and fabricated parts to required SSPC/NACE standards.
Operate and maintain blasting equipment; perform abrasive and power washing.
Painting & Coatings Application

Mix primers and industrial coatings (e.g., epoxy, polyurethane) to correct viscosity.
Apply coatings via spray booths and airless/conventional sprayers or brushes.
Inspect coated surfaces (for coverage, thickness, finish quality) and correct issues (runs, holidays, etc.).
Equipment Operation & Maintenance

Maintain spray booths, paint/abrasive equipment, and tooling in good working order.
Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts to maneuver large parts.
Inventory & Documentation

Track paint, abrasives, solvents, and PPE usage; reorder supplies when needed.
Complete all paperwork: work orders, inspection forms, paint logs, equipment maintenance records.
Safety, Housekeeping & Compliance

Follow EBI’s safety policies and OSHA/HazMat procedures; wear required PPE (respirators, coveralls, gloves, etc.).
Keep work areas clean and organized; dispose of waste materials properly.
Report any safety issues, malfunctions, or material shortages promptly.
