Job summary

Mayfran International is seeking an Industrial Painter on 2nd shift in Mayfield, Ohio to apply primers, enamels, and finishes to metal parts, ensuring mil thickness and high-quality finish.

You will work from shop orders, degrease surfaces, mask areas, mix paints, operate spray equipment, and maintain a clean, safe work area while following procedures. Benefits are included from day one, with 2 weeks vacation and an on-site health clinic.

Responsibilities

  • Work from shop orders and written/verbal instructions.
  • Degrease or wipe surfaces to prepare for primer and finish coats.
  • Mask machined surfaces or areas not to be painted.
  • Mix and thin enamels, epoxies, primers and related coatings to proper consistency.
  • Operate spray equipment safely and efficiently to achieve proper mil thickness.
  • Maintain and clean spray equipment, tanks, booths, and filters.
  • Move parts using overhead crane equipment and ensure safe material handling.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to work on 2nd shift, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of finish and durability.   • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
  • Starting at $24.19 per hour. This position is eligible for a 90-day performance increase.
  • Rate after 90-days: $25.07
  • 2nd Shift receives an additional $2.00 per hour as shift differential.
  • Benefits effective day one, 2 weeks' vacation, free on-site health clinic, on-site fitness center, and 401(k) with matching.

Summary:

Performs duties required to prepare and paint all parts and complete units following standard established methods and procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING.
OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED:
  • Work from shop orders, written and verbal instructions.
  • Degrease or wipe surfaces clean to prepare for primer and finish coats as required.
  • Exercise care to remove all oil or other contaminants from surfaces to be painted.
  • Mask machined surfaces or other areas not to be painted.
  • Mix and thin various enamels, epoxies, polyurethane, lacquers, primers and chemical resistance to proper consistency for efficient spray or hand painting and maintain supply in tank.
  • Exercise proper care of equipment and methods to ensure compliance with safety and environmental requirements.
  • Adjust air pressure and nozzle; move gun to cover surfaces in smooth even strokes free from run or thin spots; apply coats to insure mil thickness as necessary.
  • Remove masking upon completion of painting operations.
  • Clean and maintain spray equipment, tanks, booths; clean pit, filters; replace coverings and recoat walls as necessary.
  • Use floor controlled overhead crane equipment as necessary to move parts and materials; use care to lift and balance loads properly; operate equipment in a safe manner.
  • Exercise proper care in the use of tools, equipment and materials.
  • Detect and report faulty equipment, defective material, improper operations and unusual conditions to supervision.
  • Maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.
