Job summary

Elgen Staffing is seeking an Industrial Painter in White Plains to perform surface prep, mixing and applying coatings, and quality inspection in an aviation/auto body environment.

The role requires adherence to safety protocols, use of PPE, and a focus on a high-quality finish in a fast-paced facility.

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning, sanding and removing old paint to ensure adhesion.
  • Accurately mixing paints and coatings to specifications for color and consistency.
  • Applying paint using brush, roller, and spray gun as required by surface and project.
  • Inspecting painted surfaces for defects and ensuring quality standards.
  • Adhering to safety protocols and wearing PPE in well-ventilated areas.
  • Understanding different painting types, properties, and application methods.
  • Attention to detail to achieve a consistent, high-quality finish.
  • Problem-solving to resolve issues during the painting process.

Industrial Painter

Our client, a nationwide leader in aviation safety and flight performance systems, has an immediate need for an experienced painter to join our winning team in White Plains.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning, sanding and removing old paint from surfaces to ensure proper paint adhesion.
  • Accurately mixing paints and coatings according to specifications to achieve the desired color and consistency.
  • Applying paint using various methods including brush, roller, and spray gun depending on the surface and project requirements.
  • Inspecting painted surfaces for defects and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Adhering to safety protocols including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and working in well-ventilated areas.
  • Understanding different painting types, their properties, and application methods.

Key Requirements
  • Preferred work experience in painting in an Aviation or Auto body environment.
