Job summary

Remedy Staffing seeks an Industrial Painter for 1st shift in Carlisle. This temp-to-hire role pays $22.00-$25.00 per hour. Hours are 6:00am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays. The job involves priming varied materials per AISC specs and routine shop tasks beyond the paint booth.

Responsibilities include maintaining paint equipment, masking non-painted areas, and performing quality checks. Candidates must meet respirator and medical requirements and lift up to 75 lbs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months industrial painting experience.
• Must pass medical qualification and respirator fit test.
• Able to use a sprayer and work in a paint booth.
• Able to use hand and/or power tools and equipment.
• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods, lift up to 75 lbs, crawl, climb ladders and work long hours.
• Must know how to operate a Lull, Skid Loader and Fork Lift.

• Organize and maintain paint room and complete necessary paperwork.
• Perform quality checks including visual and electronic mill testing; assist with material handling.

• When not in paint booth working in shop doing odd jobs drilling holes, grinding and helping where needed.
• Perform daily maintenance routines on paint equipment.
• Identify and mask areas that are not to be painted.Use proper paint application procedures.
• Inspect paint job in progress for quality problems, such as runs and missed areas.
• Clean paint booth and lights and change filters.
• Organize and maintain paint room.Coordinate flow of and complete necessary paperwork.
• Perform quality checks including visual and electronic mill testing.Clean and prime material, Assist with material handling.

Requirements:

• Must have a minimum of 12 month industrial painting (automotive or parts) experience.
• Required to wear a respirator, must be able to pass a medical qualification and a respirator fit test.
