Job summary

Qualdoc in York, PA is seeking an Industrial Paint & Material Handling Technician for a busy production shop. The role blends industrial coating application (~20%) with material movement, rigging, equipment operation, and other shop duties.

Responsibilities include preparing surfaces, applying coatings, operating overhead cranes and forklifts, loading/unloading, rigging, measuring with tape, supporting production, performing respirator fit testing, and following PPE and safety rules.

Qualifications

• Industrial painting experience and knowledge of coating methods.
• Experience operating overhead cranes, forklifts, or similar equipment.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.
• Ability to pass a respiratory fit test and follow safety PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces and apply industrial coatings.
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move materials.
• Load, unload, stage, and position materials.
• Perform rigging for materials and equipment.
• Use tape measures and other measuring tools accurately.
• Support production and general shop operations.
• Complete required respiratory fit testing.
• Follow PPE, chemical-handling, and workplace safety requirements.
• Assist with different tasks and work areas as production needs change.
