Job summary

Slate Auto LLC is searching for an Operational Technology (OT) Specialist to design, implement, and maintain industrial control systems within an automotive manufacturing environment in Warsaw, Indiana.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with PLCs, SCADA, and cybersecurity frameworks. This role requires hands-on experience in OT/ICS environments, with strong problem-solving and communication skills. Candidates must be adaptable to a fast-paced environment while ensuring compliance with security standards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; 6+ years with a Master’s degree; 3+ years with a PhD or equivalent.
• Experience supporting lean manufacturing or Six Sigma environments.
• Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on OT/ICS experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implementation, maintenance, and security of industrial control systems and automation infrastructure.
• Monitor health and performance of plant floor automation systems.
• Serve as escalation point for Tier2/3 OT-related issues across production shifts.

Skills

Proficiency with PLC platforms (Allen‑Bradley/Rockwell, Fanuc)

Experience with SCADA and HMI software (FactoryTalk, Wonderware, Ignition)

Solid understanding of industrial networking protocols: EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus, OPC‑UA

Familiarity with OT cybersecurity principles and tools

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Master’s degree in a related field
