Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Operations Analyst for a fully remote role supporting operations based in Welkom. The ideal candidate will analyze operational data, identify trends, and deliver actionable insights to improve efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness across the organization.

You will develop dashboards and reports, run studies on processes and resource utilization, and present findings to stakeholders to drive data-driven decision making and strategic improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field.
• Minimum of 3 years in operations analysis or a similar role.
• Strong proficiency with Excel, SQL, Python or R.

About the Role

Our client is looking for a sharp and analytical Industrial Operations Analyst to join their team remotely, supporting operations based in Welkom . This position focuses on analyzing operational data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to improve efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness across the organization. You will play a critical role in data-driven decision-making, developing reports, and recommending strategic improvements. The ideal candidate has a strong quantitative background, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, concise recommendations for operational enhancement.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, interpret, and analyze operational data from various sources to identify trends, performance gaps, and areas for improvement.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that track key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational efficiency, cost control, and productivity.
• Conduct detailed studies on operational processes, resource utilization, and workflow to pinpoint inefficiencies.
• Formulate data-backed recommendations for process changes, cost reduction initiatives, and strategic operational adjustments.
• Collaborate with operations managers and team leaders to understand their challenges and provide analytical support.
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders through clear and compelling reports and presentations, supporting teams in Welkom and beyond.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Operations Research, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations analysis, industrial engineering, data analysis, or a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as Excel (advanced), SQL, Python, or R.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is highly advantageous.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data insights to non-technical audiences.
