Job summary

Base is seeking a Network Administrator to design, deploy, and maintain our network across offices, warehouses, and factory locations. You will manage VLANs, routing, VPNs, and OT-related systems on the factory floor, ensuring reliability and security.

This role requires hands-on experience with Unifi and Palo Alto firewalls, plus strong Linux/Windows scripting skills. You’ll collaborate with IT and security teams and help with day-to-day IT tasks in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of network administration experience in an enterprise environment.
• Experience with OT infrastructure in manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Experience with Unifi equipment and enterprise networks.
• Experience administering Palo Alto firewalls.
• Experience with network monitoring solutions and alerting.
• Experience with server rooms and cable management.
• Experience with wireless deployments.
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows systems using Bash and PowerShell.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain the network at all Base locations, including VLANs, routing, and VPN.
• Monitor network performance and proactively install, configure, and improve network equipment.
• Maintain firewalls, keeping rules and policies current, and maintain network documentation including topology, standards, and procedures.
• Support the infrastructure behind manufacturing, including servers, network equipment, and related systems on the factory floor, helping keep it reliable and secure.
• Respond to and remediate network-related incidents across both IT and OT environments, escalating as needed.
• Collaborate with the IT team and the company overall on outages and upgrades, and work with the security team to help ensure compliance with security frameworks and best practices.
• Willingness to do any type of IT task, including help desk support.
