Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America in the Town of Tomahawk, Wisconsin, is seeking a software developer to build and maintain interactive data base applications for mill operations. You will write, debug, and document programs using VB.NET/C#, .NET Framework 4+, WinForms, and SQL Server 2017+ while collaborating with internal customers and IT colleagues.

This on-site role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and the ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Experience with VB.NET/C#, .NET framework 4+, Git, WinForms, SQL Server 2017+ (writing SQL queries, creating stored procedures/functions/views).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills in a fast-paced industrial environment.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Develop interactive data base applications to improve productivity.
• Write, debug, diagram, code, and document programs.
• Provide support and training to in-house personnel.
• Research, analysis, development, and maintenance of Trident and peripherals.
• Testing of own projects and other PCA developers.
• Upgrade applications with new releases and patches.
• Work with corporate to install new systems and coordinate changes.
• Take ownership and support local IT systems and programs.
