Job summary

TalentLine Services LLC is seeking an experienced technician to repair electromechanical equipment and ensure smooth operation of industrial motors. You will review work orders and specifications to diagnose problems across multiple projects.

This full-time role, Monday through Friday with potential evenings or overtime, requires lifting up to 50 pounds, strict safety adherence, and maintaining accurate service records.

Qualifications

  • Experience reading mechanical/electrical job cards and translating them into service actions.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electromechanical systems using various tests (AC/DC).
  • Skilled at disassembling and inspecting components for wear or damage.
  • Capable of replacing worn components and reassembling assemblies to spec.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for each service job.

Responsibilities

  • Read job orders to determine status, scope, and estimated serviceability.
  • Test equipment to diagnose problems and verify repairs.
  • Disassemble and inspect electromechanical devices.
  • Replace bearings, gears, seals, motors leads and related parts.
  • Retest to ensure proper operation after repair.
  • Complete required paperwork accurately and promptly.

Job description

Repair various types of electromechanical equipment. Ensure smooth operation of various industrial motors. Review work orders and specifications on simultaneous projects to diagnose and repair various electromechanical equipment. This requires knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, machines, tools including their design, uses repair and maintenance.

Essential Skills & Functions
  • Read job cards to determine: job status, work authorizations/limitations, estimate, description of problems, and/or expected serviceability.
  • Test electromechanical equipment to troubleshoot known or suspected problems using various methods (AC or DC).
  • Disassemble electromechanical equipment noting parts identification, configuration and condition.
  • Replace or repair worn or defective mechanical or electromechanical assemblies, including but not limited to: bearings, brushes, brush holders, motor leads, gears, seals, impellers, mechanical switches, brakes, clutches, clutch rotors, fans, end shields, etc.
  • Retest reassembled electromechanical equipment for proper output and operation.
  • Complete required paperwork for each job accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Operate specialized repair and testing equipment and other equipment as needed.
  • Observe all safety procedures and use proper protective gear (especially ear and eye protection).
  • Lift, tighten, adjust and/or secure heavy objects in order to perform work duties.
  • Keep work area neat and clean as directed by supervisor.
  • Assist other mechanics or other service center personnel in skilled or non-skilled duties as directed by supervisor or service manager.
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities and repair work performed.
Physical Demands
  • Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and adjust body position to climb, bend, stoop, squat, crawl, kneel, walk, turn, pivot, push, pull, reach overhead and stand for 8 or more hours a day.
  • Must display excellent time management skills, be able to work with little or no supervision and communicate regularly.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures indoor/outdoor, depending upon season.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, typically 7:00a.m. – 4:00p.m. However, Evenings, Overtime, Saturday and Sunday may be required to meet business demand.
