Qualifications
Completion of a Millwright apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
Own personal tools to complete jobs at hand.
Previous experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in coal mining, sawmill, and/or automotive plant environments.
Strong welding experience, particularly in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
Deep understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical systems.
Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including confined spaces and high elevations.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment and conveyor systems.
Perform welding for repairs and fabrication of parts and structures.
Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules.
Assist with the installation, alignment, and commissioning of new equipment.
Follow all safety protocols and ensure work areas are safe and clean.
Work closely with other maintenance technicians and engineers.
Apply strong troubleshooting skills to identify mechanical failures.
