Job summary

Matrix Service Company in Rougemont, North Carolina, seeks an experienced millwright to inspect, install, maintain, align, dismantle and repair heavy industrial machinery. This role requires hands-on problem solving in a demanding industrial setting.

You will work with repair crews, follow safety protocols, and pass site-specific trainings. Candidates should have 3+ years in refinery maintenance or related fields, and NCCER certification or Millwright skills test with at least 70%.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years or more in refinery maintenance/turnaround/power plant or construction experience.
• General knowledge of basic hand tools.
• Must be able to pass the written Millwright Skills Test at or above 70% or have an NCCER certification for your craft.
• Completed the Matrix Service Safety training and Client / Site specific training.
• Obtains and maintains an active status in a drug testing program and pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, installs, maintains, aligns, dismantles and repairs heavy industrial machinery and equipment.
• Supports safety commitments and adheres to the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
• Receives instructions for scheduled and emergency repairs, installation, and inspection work.
• Determines best way to repair to minimize production interruption.
• Advises when shutdowns are necessary to minimize damage.
