Job summary

The Beasley Group in Hazlehurst, GA seeks an experienced Millwright II to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery within the sawmill and related operations. This mid-level role emphasizes safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.

You will work with conveyors, motors, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, read blueprints, perform preventative maintenance, and collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to optimize equipment performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
• 3+ years as a millwright or industrial maintenance technician.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment, including conveyors, motors, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, and production machinery.
• Diagnosing equipment malfunctions and perform timely, effective repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance according to schedules and operational needs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Align, level, and calibrate machinery and equipment.
• Assist with equipment upgrades, modifications, and installations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to improve equipment performance.
