Job summary

Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. seeks a Millwright Helper for a project in Wilmington, NC. Hired candidates will be considered for Benefits/Paid Time Off after 3-months.

The position requires reading blueprints and performing layouts, installing and wiring panels, and following safety and quality procedures on site. Significant travel may be required, and regular attendance is expected.

Qualifications

• Skilled in both written and verbal communication.
• Complete all Safety and general job training as required by SIC.
• Observe SIC and Customer safety and quality processes and procedures at all times.

Responsibilities

• Prepares layout, using voltage tester, wire strippers, level, pipe benders etc.
• Terminates panels utilizing LOTO.
• Plan sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other construction workers.
• Run cable tray, pulls wire and bend various types of conduit.
• Understand motor controls and metering.
• Calculate loads for single phase and three-phase branch circuits.
• Follow directions, plans, and blueprints.
• Perform work overhead, beneath structure, and from various other positions as required by working conditions.
