Job summary

Pacific Recycling, Inc. is seeking an experienced Industrial Millwright to join our metal recycling shredder team. This hands-on, safety-critical role focuses on installation, maintenance, and repair of heavy industrial equipment in an outdoor production environment.

You will help ensure equipment reliability and maintain thorough maintenance records. The ideal candidate has a Journeyman millwright background with 5+ years in heavy industry, strong hydraulics knowledge, and experience with

Qualifications

Journeyman millwright with 5+ years in heavy industry (metals/mining/recycling).
Proficient in hydraulic systems and reading hydraulic schematics.
Experience with conveyors, shaft alignment, and precision mechanical fitting.
Knowledge of motor controls, sensors, PLCs, and safety interlocks.

Responsibilities

Install, align, repair, and overhaul heavy machinery including hammermill shredder and drive systems.
Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic systems and piping.
Inspect and repair conveyors, belts, rollers, and take-ups.
Diagnose electrical/control issues with electricians/vendors; support OT/LOTO safety.
Develop planned maintenance schedules and maintain job records.
Lead projects from scope to commissioning, upgrades, and overhauls.
Identify deficiencies and implement reliability improvements.
Mentor apprentices and coordinate with operators for early fault detection.
