Ryerson, a long-standing leader in industrial metal products, seeks an Outside Sales Representative to join our sales team. You will collaborate with Inside and Regional Sales to develop precise quotes and contracts, addressing customer needs while driving profitable outcomes for Ryerson.

The role requires a high school diploma, 3+ years in metals sales, MS Office proficiency, and willingness to travel CT and surrounding areas in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of metals or related manufacturing/industrial sales experience.
• Experience collaborating with inside sales teams is a plus.
• Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Willingness to travel and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to cover a territory including Connecticut and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Builds relationships with procurement decision-makers across customer organizations.
• Keeps customers informed about industry trends and Ryerson capabilities.
• Provides market intelligence to shape sales strategies and pricing.
• Increases revenue by expanding product lines and converting general line sales to fabrication.
• Coordinates with service center and regional teams to maintain relationships at all levels.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
