***Paramedic to provide medical support for a solar project in Toledo, Iowa***

SUMMARY

Industrial Medical Assistants (IMA) of all levels provide medical care under the supervision of RMI Global Solutions' Corporate Medical Director and designees. Their duties include medical care, rescue, and supporting RMI clients in industrial, remote, and austere environments while adhering to professional standards, state regulations, and company policies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Provide advice and medical treatment for primary health care, general practice, and emergency situations according to protocols and scope of practice.
  2. Complete reporting requirements for RMI and clients as specified per project.
  3. Maintain attention to detail in patient assessments, communicating with supervising physicians via telephony.
  4. Perform medical escort duties as needed.
  5. Maintain medical facilities according to standards.
  6. Represent RMI professionally at all times.
  7. Keep current professional certifications relevant to assigned projects.
  8. Perform other duties as required.

TYPICAL DUTIES INCLUDE:

  1. Interview patients regarding current problems, medications, and allergies; review electronic health records.
  2. Communicate regularly with physicians and practitioners via telephony and internet to determine treatment plans.
  3. Participate in treatment regimens, including administering medications under physician supervision via telemedicine.
  4. Document treatment plans in electronic health records and implement treatments.
  5. Travel off-site in company vehicles to respond to minor ailments and work-site injuries as requested.
  6. Perform immunizations, nebulizer treatments, visual tests, and administer/read tests as permitted.
  7. Perform additional clinical tasks as directed after physician-led training.
  8. Maintain inventory and prepare exam rooms before and after patient contact.
  9. Handle office responsibilities such as answering phones, messaging, and triage within scope of practice.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. Current state license as a Paramedic.
  2. Experience of at least 3 years or 4,160 hours at the current license level.
  3. Experience in industrial settings and knowledge of OSHA regulations preferred but not required.
  4. Current BLS, CPR, and AED certification at the medical rescuer level.
  5. Valid state license in the respective discipline.
