Job summary

LANXESS Deutschland GmbH is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to safely execute mechanical maintenance activities in an industrial manufacturing setting. Reports to Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor and may be selected as Technician I, II, or III based on competencies and experience.

Role involves pipefitting, equipment installs/removals, pump seal work, and preventative maintenance; requires reading schematics, safety procedures, and experience with CMMS/SAP.

Qualifications

• Relevant maintenance certifications or equivalent education/experience.
• Experience maintaining mechanical systems in industrial manufacturing.
• Knowledge of rotating/fixed mechanical systems and OSHA requirements.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Experience with CMMS/SAP for work orders and records.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• PSM and ISO 9001 experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute mechanical maintenance work including pipefitting and pump/seal maintenance.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain rotating and fixed equipment.
• Complete SAP/CMMS work orders and maintenance records.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and safety procedures; work safely and on schedule.
• Perform safety assessments including confined space entry and work at heights.
