This Role
Primarily responsible for estimating and acquiring orders from customers and prospects to fill available and future capacity of GSM Industrial operations. Oversees mechanical contracting, industrial steel fabrication, and installation needs of a base of accounts. Assists in establishing new accounts with Business Development. Focus on industrial installation projects at customer locations.
What You Will Do
- Develop long‑lasting, successful business relationships with new and existing accounts.
- Calculate estimated costs of material, labor, equipment, and contract services.
- Complete and/or delegate documentation requirements for kickoff meetings; lead kickoff meetings to understand project specifications and timelines.
- Takes ownership of the scope of work and communicates information as it becomes available with project team members.
- Order project‑related field materials and any non‑fabricated parts.
- Coordinate field, shop, and shipping activities seamlessly with office and administrative duties for efficient execution.
- Collaborate with the project superintendent, providing leadership to align construction with design, budget, and schedule.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise onsite functions, including scheduling, engineering, and material control.
- Ensure timely completion and submission of payment applications, follow‑up on the payment process.
- Review and oversee distribution of all project documents, including field/shop drawings, addendums, and RFIs.
- Demonstrate understanding of OSHA/MSHA regulations; enforce safe workplace practices.
- Oversee quality processes throughout the project to ensure adherence to standards.
- Engage in various responsibilities that contribute to overall project success.

Requirements
What You Bring (Experience & Qualifications)
- Minimum five years in this or a related field, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Knowledge of industrial maintenance, rigging, piping, safe access, structural steel, machine installation, and ducting.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and material specifications.
- Project management and computer skills.
- Decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.
- Intermediate mathematical skills.
- Logic and reasoning to identify opportunities and provide solutions; effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Confidence, sense of urgency, and a strong work ethic.
