Job summary

Coherent Corp. is seeking a maintenance technician to operate and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment.

The role includes preventive and reactive maintenance, with shift hours Friday through Sunday and every other Thursday from 5am to 5pm and alternating weekly hours of 36 or 48 (with OT). The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, manufacturing and electrical experience, and may hold an AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance.

Qualifications

• Reliability maintenance methods experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment, including preventive and reactive tasks.
• Performs simple mechanical and pipefitting repairs as required.
• Troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Reads equipment manuals and work orders to perform duties.
• Monitors temperature, pressure, rotation, voltage, current, and vibration data to diagnose issues.
