Nylon Corporation of America (NYCOA) in Manchester, NH seeks a highly motivated Industrial Mechanic/Maintenance Technician to join the manufacturing team. The role repairs and maintains machinery and equipment to keep the plant running and support continuous operations.

The successful candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable with troubleshooting. We are willing to train an entry-level candidate and offer a full-time day shift with competitive wages and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–3 years of experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right entry-level candidate.
• Able to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and lift up to 55 pounds.
• Must wear PPE and respirator as required.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain machinery and equipment per manuals and specs.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Dismantle equipment to access parts and replace defective components.
• Inspect parts with calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions.
• Lubricate and perform preventive maintenance to keep equipment running.
• Assist electricians with electrical repairs when needed.

Nylon Corporation of America (NYCOA)seeks a highly motivatedIndustrial Mechanic/Maintenance Technicianto join their team inManchester, New Hampshire.The Industrial Mechanic/Maintenance Technician will repair and maintain machinery and equipment to ensure continued operations of the plant and the ongoing success of the facility.

Successful candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment and possess excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. We are willing to train the right entry level candidate!

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Repair and maintain machinery and equipment such as engines, motors, pumps, vessels and tanks and their respective components, and conveyor systems.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Follow directions in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer’s specifications, including proper Lockout / Tagout (LO/TO) procedures.
• Dismantle equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
• Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
• Adjust functional parts and devices in control instruments, using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
• Repair and replace defective parts and install special functional and structural parts in equipment using hand tools and power tools.
• Maintain functionality of equipment by lubricating, cleaning, and performing PM’s for machinery.
• Assist in the repair of electrical equipment as needed with qualified electricians.

COMPENSATION/BENEFITS:

NYCOA puts great value in their Industrial Mechanic/Maintenance Technician position by offering a starting wage of $24.79 – $29.94per hour, with the opportunity for overtime. This is a represented position.

SCHEDULE:

This is a full time, day shift position working Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalentrequired.
• 1 – 3 years of experiencepreferred, but we are willing to train the right entry-level candidate.
• Able to withstand constant standing and reaching along with continuous bending, squatting, and walking, as well as frequent kneeling, climbing, sitting, and use of fine motor skills.
• Able to lift 55 pounds, frequently lift and carry 25 pounds, and work on ladders, staging, and other related equipment.
• Able to work with minimal supervision, work well with others, and be a team player.
• Must be able to wear proper PPE and a respirator without restriction.
