Job summary

Novelis Bay Minette, AL is seeking a dedicated Mechanic to maintain and service facilities and equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will work under the EMRA Leader, performing troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repairs to ensure continuous operations with safety first.

The role requires reading diagrams, manuals, and work orders, along with hands-on experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum: HS Diploma/GED or 5 yrs industrial experience.
• 5 yrs experience in industrial environment and/or 2 year degree/certification preferred.
• Familiar with safety of cranes, mobile equipment, working at heights and hot work such as welding.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties to install and maintain machines and plant facilities.
• Read/interpret equipment manuals and work orders for maintenance.
• Diagnose problems, replace/repair parts, test and adjust.
