Burner & HVAC Mechanic
Location:
Appleton
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay Rate:
$38.19/hour

Your Impact
As a Burner & HVAC Mechanic, you'll play a critical role in maintaining the thermal and climate control systems that power our facility. Your expertise will ensure uninterrupted operations, optimal energy efficiency, and a safe environment for our teams.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair gas burners, ovens, chillers, HVAC, and refrigeration systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life
  • Calibrate and optimize combustion systems for peak performance and safety
  • Maintain rooftop units, compressors, and air handlers
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform root cause analysis
  • Document all maintenance activities using a CMMS
  • Support energy efficiency and compliance with OSHA and EPA standards
  • Collaborate with engineers and production teams to meet operational goals
  • Train junior technicians and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

What You’ll Bring

  • High school diploma or GED; technical training in HVAC or burner systems preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in industrial HVAC and combustion system maintenance
  • EPA 608 Universal Refrigerant Certification (or willing to obtain within 6 months)
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, burners, and control systems
  • Ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools effectively
  • Understanding of OSHA regulations, LOTO, and confined space protocols
  • Problem-solving mindset and a strong sense of accountability
  • Experience with PLCs and computerized maintenance systems is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
