Job description

Position Overview

Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and installation tasks on the physical plant, equipment, and machinery, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and legal standards. Demonstrates competency in all on-the-job activities affecting product safety, legality, and quality.

Compensation

Pay rate of position: $37.87

Position Responsibilities
  1. Perform mechanical rebuilds, overhauls, and adjustments.
  2. Make pre-arranged changeovers in machines when switching between product varieties.
  3. Examine machines and mechanical equipment to locate and diagnose issues.
  4. Plan repair sequences to minimize time and expense.
  5. Report major problems to the Supervisor.
  6. Work with blueprints, drawings, and instructions.
  7. Calculate stresses, strengths, and other parameters related to repairs.
  8. Respond to and correct equipment stoppages and breakdowns.
  9. Operate machine shop equipment and fabricate parts as needed.
  10. Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
  11. Practice and comply with all company policies and safety standards.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting helpers and apprentices, operating industrial equipment, and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications

One or more years of experience as a Production Operator or Technician, with training or experience in HVAC, Welding, Electronics, Electrical repairs, or Industrial Equipment.

Essential Job Requirements

Associate Degree in Electronics/Electrical Technology or equivalent formal training and work experience.
